About Me

My academic and professional trajectory is grounded in a cross-disciplinary approach, encompassing the fields of visual art, philosophy, and linguistics. My work has focused on linguistic and non-linguistic  forms of meaning. What are concepts like? How do they get assembled into lexical meanings? What is the relationship between lexical meanings and other aspects of human thought and emotions?

I have presented original artworks in both solo and collective exhibitions, and have held the position of art director within the film industry, contributing to productions such as HBO’s The Last of Us and various projects for Disney+. I think of my work in the arts as a form of experimental philosophy. How and why are artworks meaningful?

I am currently teaching art and have served as co-president of Lady Liberty Pictures Inc., a company dedicated to the creation of film-based content.

I've also co-author and co-illustrated of Soso & Frieda, a children’s multilingual book series that merges visual storytelling with pedagogical engagement.

I completed my doctorate in philosophy at McGill University. My supervisors were Ian Gold (philosophy), Dirk Schlimm (philosophy), and Brendan Gillon (linguistics).

I enjoy painting landscapes and cityscapes often working on smaller paintings outdoors which I develop into larger works in my studio. However, other projects include abstract, semi-abstract or self-referential lettrist works.
